my confessions: Paganism by ~Larchick was a difficult choice... this photograph is part of a series, and the real strength of this work is if you see the whole series together.... So i took precautions, i knew that if i featured another religion (islam, orthodoxy, judaism, etc) people would have reacted without looking at the rest of the series, thinking i'm just advertising a religion by featuring it. Paganism, represented by this young girl, would be the least controversial, and i chose it for that reason. Please check the rest of the work, this photographer really has interesting ideas. DD Comment:

You're not going to escape from controversy when religion is brought up. For example, the term ';paganism' can be considered insulting to some pagans, who feel it unfairly sidelines the specific name of their faith just because they're not Abrahamic.

In other words, don't stress too much about it.

Even with such description and after looking on the whole serie, this shot is not worth DD. It's plain, badly altered with some graphic software [and if not - it's just AWFULY taken then] and shows nothing.
Plain girl in plain dress, enjoyng something. There are thousands of such shots on dA. If not more

And if someone starts that it's not a place for criticism - YES, IT'S EXACTLY THE PLACE FOR CRITICISM. Comments are for describing our own feeling about some picture, not just cosing the author and keep repeating him/her how great is he/she and how marvelous job is his/her piece.

I love the contrast going on here with the natural, smiling, Mother Earth girl and then that hint of industrialism in the background. It's a gorgeous photo, as is the whole series! Congrats on the DD.
